Our Pricing Explained

Every wine on our site shows two prices. Here is what they mean and how the final price is built up.
In Bond (IB)
The price of the wine without local duty and VAT. This is what you pay at checkout.
Duty Paid inc VAT
The total price once you arrange home delivery and the duty and VAT are settled. Delivery fees may apply.
What makes up the price
1. Wine
The In Bond selling price.
2. Duty
Dutch excise duty on wine.
3. VAT
21% Dutch VAT (BTW).
Worked Examples
In Bond example
Buy
Buy the case at the In Bond price of €280.00. It goes straight into your storage account.
Store
Leave it in storage for as long as you like. See storage rates.
Deliver
Arrange delivery and pay the duty and VAT of €63.62. Total paid: €343.62, as advertised.

Duty Paid example
Some wines can only be bought with duty and VAT already paid, so you pay the full price at checkout. This does not affect quality; the duty was simply paid when the wine arrived in the Netherlands.
Look for the orange $ sign and the status “VAT & Duty Paid”. In this example, the six-bottle case costs €417.00 in total.

Case Pricing
We are a case merchant, which is how we keep prices competitive. Where possible, we also offer single bottles so you can try more wines.
Prices are quoted per unit, and the unit size is shown in the item description. Any price per bottle is an indication only.
